Services

The work of the Association focuses on three (3) main areas:

  1. Providing low cost accommodation for Aged and Disabled people.
  2. Providing Management advice and support to other charities who provide services in the Aged, Disabled and Welfare sector.
    The specific services provided as part of any partnership agreement will depend on the organisation’s individual needs.The following is an example of some of the support services available:

    • Regulatory Compliance (Fire, Food, WH&S, Aged Care, ISO & DSQ Accreditation)
    • Operational Advice (Catering, Cleaning, Waste, Pest, Security and Quality)
    • Buildings and Property Advice
    • Grant Applications
    • Strategic Planning
    • Budgeting Development and Financial Monitoring
    • HR Advice
    • Marketing and Fundraising Advice
  3. Developing innovative, integrated models of accommodation and support for people in the Association’s target group.
    • The Association will partner with other providers to develop facilities that meet the needs of the target group, and in particular, those non-mainstream service types.
    • These services will be provided using expertise available within the Association’s Management Team or contracted from external sources when necessary.
    • The services will in most circumstances be provided free of charge. The Association’s aim is not to take over other organisations or interfere with their operations, but to act in a consultancy / advisory role to assist with identified needs in an effort to ensure efficient, effective and stable operation.

Activities

The Association achieves its aims and objectives by:

  • Providing access to low cost community housing.
  • Researching the needs of Aged and Disabled persons.
  • Partnering with other charities to promote and co-ordinate services for Aged and Disabled people.
  • Focusing on non-mainstream services that cater for those who are in danger of falling through the gaps.
  • Providing advice and resources on a  range of strategic and operational issues to vulnerable charities. This will assist them to improve: stability, efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining services to the target group.
